Dance with Me

Join me for a class in Boise, Idaho! I offer weekly classes in the Nia Technique, Creative Movement For Kids and Nia in the Water. Be sure to check out my studio, Dancing Dragons, for a full list of my weekly classes.

Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from disciplines of the Martial Arts, Dance Arts and Healing Arts. A body-mind-spirit practice by design, Nia empowers people of all backgrounds and fitness levels by connecting them with the voice of the body: sensation. Classes are danced barefoot to customized music that blends Eastern and Western instrumentation and sound. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. My Creative Movement for Kids classes adapt my movement classes for children, culminating in an inspiring, creative movement experience that children find as joyful as they do sweaty! Nia in the Water adapts the moves and movement philosophies of Nia for adults so that it can be performed in a pool, which offers even less compression on the joints and a "softer" style of Nia.
